Anulex™ Technologies is joining the movement to redefine discectomy by developing proprietary medical technology designed to support surgical techniques aimed at preservation and repair of the anulus. Spinal discectomy is the most common surgical method for treating a painful herniated disc. Today, there is no fast, effective method for repairing the soft tissue surrounding the disc -- known as the anulus. Not repairing the anulus can lead to recurrent disc herniation and reoperation.

Large, published, population based studies report reoperation rates of up to 1 in 4 patients following a lumbar discectomy procedure1-5. Repairing the anulus after a discectomy procedure may reduce reoperations and improve patient outcomes6.
